James Bond 007 was created by Ian Fleming in 1953. There are twelve novels and two short story collections with James Bond as the star. The books were so popular that James Bond was turned into movies in the 60’s. As of right now there are 22 James Bond films. The latest James Bond film was released in 2008 and called Quantum of Solace. The movies have been received with mixed reviews depending on the current actor as bond and the story line. The least popular film adaption was ‘On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” with George Lazenby. Still it grossed $87,400,000 at the box office. Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan are some of the top named actors who have starred in a number of the James Bond films. As a character James Bond is a spy with MI6, he constantly is sent on missions for Britain where he is in danger, has to stop a bad guy, and he always gets at least one woman. The plots typically follow a pattern in which Bond is sent out on a mission, he sleeps with a woman, she winds up dead as part of the bad guys scheme, and then he finds another at the end of the movie. Typically Bond drinks a Martini shaken not stirred.

Dressing up as James Bond

James Bond has two forms of dress from the movies and books. In most of the films James Bond costumes are a tailor made black suit for formal wear, a white tuxedo shirt, tie, and black shoes. In recent films a costume of khaki pants and Hawaiian shirts is more typical. Other costume ideas include spy, Austin Powers, and other formal costume choices.
