About Jailhouse

A jailhouse is typically a goal or jail in which convicts are locked up. We have many correction facilities today that house criminals as seen by the court justice system. A jailhouse used to be a one or two room facility in the early days. However, since civilization began there has been some type of jail and court system. In earlier centuries a goal was used until the convict was sentenced to death by hanging. As the system progressed the facilities grew to what we have now. In the facilities the convict is required to wear an orange jumpsuit. In the past the jumpsuit has been a black and white striped outfit.

Dressing up as Jailhouse

To dress as Jailhouse you have many options. The costumes will come in children to adult sizes. You can be jailhouse rock with an Elvis style to the white and black stripes. You can also be in the orange jump suit. There are sexy jailhouse costumes for women offering tight dresses or shorts in orange or striped material. Some of the outfits will have a ball and chain, while most do not. Elvis Presley and his song Jailhouse rock have instigated many costumes in his name as well.
