Inuyasha is a manga written by Rumiko Takahashi. The manga was first released in 1996 in Japan. It has since become very popular in Japan and the US. In 2004 the start of 167 television episodes based on the manga were released in the US. There were also four movies offered based on the manga series. The character of Inuyasha is a half dog demon. He has cute dog ears and long white hair with fangs. Every new moon the ears disappear and his hair turns black, as he is a human for one night. During this time Inuyasha becomes vulnerable to attach and can’t use his sword. Inuyasha travels with several characters including Kagome, Sango, Miroku, and Shippo. He battles many enemies, and has a very abrasive manner. Inuyasha is also in love with a dead, resurrected priestess named Kikyo. Kagome is Kikyo’s reincarnation.

Dressing up as Inuyasha

Inuyasha is always in the same costume. He has the red robe of the fire rate over his Japanese style kimono pants with long sleeve kimono shirt. The pants are red, and the shirt is white. To complete the costume you will need a sword. The sword in the manga will increase in size during fights and can slay 100’s of demons at once. The sheath is also important to the costume. Inuyasha doesn’t wear shoes, so that is not a necessity for the costume. Another thing to add to dress like Inuyasha is the bead necklace. Other manga ideas include Naruto, Sakura, Sasuke, and Yu-Gi-Oh.
