About the Hulk

The creation of the dynamic duo from Marvel's "House of Ideas," Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, The Incredible Hulk made his debut in 1962. Although originally drawn with grey skin, the Hulk (thanks to the four-color process of inking comics back in the day) was soon granted the green skin that made him a comic book icon. The Hulk's origin goes back to when mild-mannered scientist, Bruce Banner was accidentally dosed with gamma rays. The after-effect of which involved Banner turning into the gigantic, muscle-bound Hulk with green skin, whenever he became angry. The normally calm Banner's anger and rage fueled The Hulk, who at his peak of rage could even overturn an army tank. You REALLY wouldn't like this guy when he's angry.

Dressing up as The Hulk

With the new Hulk movie hitting theatres soon, this time starring Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, The Hulk will be a big green hit on the silver screen and in the costuming world. Fans of the Hulk who want to make their transformation to the Big Green Guy without having to be hit with gamma rays have a number of styles to choose from in a range of sizes. Go with the classic comic book version of the Hulk with a plain green muscle top and tattered purple pants.

The Deluxe Hulk costume is more reminiscent of the Lou Ferrigno television Hulk and comes with an attached shredded white, sleeveless shirt, giving the impression of Hulk bursting out of Bruce Banner's scientist duds. Also included are a pair of and bottoms with green "Hulk feet" peeking out from beneath Hulk's shredded purple pants.

Several Hulk Masks are also available with both the comic book likeness of the Hulk and a movie-based version. Each style of the Hulk costume is available in men's and children's sizes, with even a Baby Hulk version available for infants and small toddlers.
