About Hellboy

Hellboy is a comic book character that first appeared in the Dark Horse Comics. Mike Mignola created the character in 1993. Hellboy works in the Paranormal Research and Defense program with the US government. With dark forces at work he must battle them to stop them from taking over the world. In 2004 Hellboy was made in a motion picture using the comics as their story line. The first movie showed you the appearance of Hellboy during the Nazi times. Ron Perlman starred as Hellboy in the film along with two other paranormal beings; Liz Sherman and Abe Sapien. Liz is Hellboy’s love interest and she uses fire as her special power. Abe is a fish being who has a sixth sense. They are just releasing a sequel to this first film. Hellboy is back with a love of Baby Ruth’s and demon demolition.

Dressing up as Hellboy

Hellboy has a very strict costume in the films and comics. First Hellboy is entirely red with filed horns and a tail. His right arm is very large and is used for most of the destruction. In your costume you will need to have a red skin suit with the arm, and face. The hair is black and long, which is kept in a rather Japanese style bun. Over the red suit is black shirt and black jeans with utility belt. There are also black boots. To complete the costume is the tan trench coat. Other costume ideas are Devil, Liz Sherman, and Abe Sapien.
