About Hannibal

Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lecter is the fictional creation of author Thomas Harris. Played most famously by actor Sir Anthony Hopkins, Lecter is a cultured, eloquent, former psychologist-turned-serial killer held in a maximum security prison. He also has a taste for human flesh, eating pieces of his victims. Hannibal strikes up a relationship with FBI agent Clarice Starling in the novel and film "The Silence of the Lambs," helping her to solve a murder and track down a politician's daughter. Lecter has a knack for getting inside people's heads, literally and figuratively, as he is a master manipulator and has a fondness for grey-matter fondue!

Dressing up as Hannibal

Short of some fava beans and a nice chianti, you can still pull off a great Hannibal Lecter costume! Pick up a plastic restraint mask strapped over your mouth to prevent any unwanted snacking on patrons. (Remember, it's okay to remove it around the punchbowl. Just the punchbowl.)

Dress up in a pair of surgical scrubs or in an asylum patient ensemble or orange or blue Hannibal Lecter jumpsuit as worn in prison. For an extra fun touch, have a few friends on either side escort you around the room once or twice wearing a snuggly straight jacket!
