About Gorgo

Queen Gorgo was the wife of King Leonidas in the graphic-novel-turned-film, {300}. Much like most of the main characters in the film, Gorgo was an actual historical figure who was very similar to how she was portrayed on film. As a Spartan woman, Gorgo was strong and capable of fighting alongside men, although she remained at home. Intelligent and a devoted wife, she would do anything to help her husband and homeland.
