About Ghost Lady

Although many tales have been told about a Ghost Lady, one of the most enduring stories that has been around for hundreds of years is that of the Lady in White or White Lady. Nearly every town has one of these stories, but the earliest dates back to 1800s New York. A woman's young daughter was missing, possibly murdered and she went out herself to try to find her child. She never found her child. Grief-stricken, she threw herself off of a bridge to join her daughter in death. Her spirit can still be seen walking about, searching for her daughter after all these years.

Dressing up as a Ghost Lady

Several beautiful Victorian styled Ghost Lady costumes are available, one in a more demure style and another slightly sexier. Each costume is entirely white with distressed finishes to it such as slight stains and small holes in the clothing to give a long-dead appearance. The Ghostly Lady costume comes with a large picture hat and a dress with fitted bodice and a long skirt. A more vampy version of the costume has a large slit up the middle to show a little leg.

Accessorize your costume with some white cream makeup for a ghostly palor. If you are going to show a bit of leg, however, make sure to add some makeup to them to keep the monochromatic theme going! Treat yourself to a pair of white heels to compliment your costume, too!
