About Fullmetal Alchemist

The Fullmetal Alchemist is actually a Japanese Manga and Anime series. It aired in the US 3 years ago and has become a huge series on the cartoon network. The story begins with Edward Elric trying to bring his mother back to life after her death. Alphonse or Al is in the room trying to help Edward. Unfortunately things go wrong because magic doesn’t give life without taking something in return. So Edward loses a leg and his arm. Al loses his entire body. If it hadn’t been for Edward’s quick thinking Al would have died, but instead Edward placed a seal on a set of armor in which Al’s soul resides. Edward started out on a journey to become a state alchemist in order to find the Philosopher’s Stone to get Al’s body and his back to the way it was. Through the course of the series Ed and Al make many friends and enemies. There have also been movies created within the series.

Dressing up as Fullmetal Alchemist

Before you can dress up as Fullmetal Alchemist you need to decide what character you want to be. Edward Elric holds the title as the Fullmetal Alchemist, but you also have Winry Rockbell, Envy, Greed, Lust, Alphonse Elric, and Riza Hawkeye as potential costumes. Edward Elric will be dressed in a black body suit. This is a ninja or Japanese style costume with pants and then a long sleeve shirt. To add to the costume is the long red coat and white gloves. You can also add your own accessories such as long blonde hair in a ponytail.
