About Frankenstein Shoes

When he rose up off the slab in Dr. Victor Von Frankenstein's office and came to life, the Doctor looked at the monster and his assistant Igor and said... "It's gotta be the shoes!" In the 1931 film, "Frankenstein," as the Monster, Borris Karloff wore huge platform boots that added several inches to his height. Additionally, the shoes were filled with lead weights to give him a convincingly plodding, back-from-the-dead sort of lumbering gait. Talk about suffering for your art!

Dressing up with Frankenstein Shoes

Add the perfect touch to make your Frankenstein's Monster come "ALIVE!!" with a pair of Frankstein Shoes. Available in adult sizes, these monster boots are made of black leather-like material and come up a little past the ankle and feature a side zipper. The flat, rubber platform sole on these boots is roughly 5 inches high, adding nearly half a foot to your height. Due to the flat nature of the platform heel, it's easy to walk in these without toppling forward.

The Frankenstein Shoes are also a great accessory for a Herman Munster costume, too! Bust out these bad boys and prepare to do the Monster Mash with the most killer, crypt-kicking boots on the dance floor!
