About Frankenberry

A likeable, pink parody of Frankenstein's monster, Frankenberry is a cartoon cereal pitchmen for General Mills' Frankenberry cereal. Like his fellow breakfast boogeyman, Count Chocula, Frankenberry's cereal came out in 1971 and is still sold today. The cereal features pink monster-shaped puffed strawberry cereal bits and marshmallows. Early versions of the cereal featured a pink dye that, while harmless and caused no ill health effects, made for bright pink bowel movements because the body could not break down the dye. The condition came to be known as "Frankenberry Stool." Fun!

Dressing up as Frankenberry
