About Fantastic Four

Created by the legendary comic book writer and founder of the "House of Ideas", Stan Lee and equally legendary artist, Jack Kirby, the Fantastic Four were a team of superheroes that first appeared in 1961 under the Marvel comics publishing house. Four friends who were affected by cosmic rays during a space mission, the Fantastic Four were humans who were gifted with super powers as a result. Led by the scientist, Reed Richards - AKA - Mr. Fantastic, each member of the quartet had his or her own super powers. Richards could stretch himself like elastic and morph into different shapes. The woman who would become his wife, Sue Storm-Richards was known as the "Invisible Woman". Her brother, Johnny Storm, was a free-wheeling womanizer who could burst into flame, known as "The Human Torch}. Last but not least, was the tragic Ben Grimm, known as The Thing. Easy-going in nature, the rock-like thing was super strong and impervious to damage, although he was the lone member of the Fantastic Four who could not turn his powers off at will and live as a human. The Fantastic Four battled all sorts of villains in the Marvel universe, with Dr Doom being their chief nemesis.

Dressing up as the Fantastic Four

Suit up as your favorite member of this fantastic Marvel foursome with officially licensed costumes and accessories. Infuriate {Dr. Doom} as Reed Richards, scientist supreme, with a blue unitard costume with the group's signature "4" logo in the middle of the chest on a white background. A similar costume is available in women's sizes for Invisible Woman, Sue Storm, Reed's wife. Accessorize with a blonde wig. Flame on as Johnny Storm with a costume with projectile "flames" made of polyfoam jutting off the costume in bright shades of red, orange, and yellow. And last, but certainly not least, bring the rocklike "The Thing" to life with a yellow, stone-look muscle costume and full coverage face mask. Put on a trench coat over your costume for maximum disguise and go give those pesky Yancy Street Boys what for!
