About Fairies

Sometimes known as the Fae, Wee Folk, or a host of other names, fairies are small winged creatures from myth and legend. Fairies can be human in appearance even though they possess delicate wings sprouting from their back, usually similar to an overgrown butterfly. They preside over a number of different domains and elements such as a Forest Fairy, Water Fairy or a variety of other creatures requiring mystical and/or metaphysical assistance. Fairies can be either good or bad. One of the most famous of evil fairies is Maleficent, the dark fairy from Disney's Sleeping Beauty.

Dressing up as a Fairy

Add some sparkle to your next costume party with a variety of ethereal looks to transform girls of all ages and sizes into a fairy. Put on beautiful costumes such as the Watercolor Fairy costume in shades of blue or go for a goth-flavored look with a Graveyard fairy costume. Or, go the Disney route and put on an offically licensed Tinker Bell costume. If you're feeling creative, dream up your own fairy costume with a pair of sparkling detachable fairy wings in your color of choice, a fairy wand and a number of other items from tutus to other accessories to transform you into an otherworldly creature.

	Swamp FairyContest Entry   3 up, 1 down  My purpouse was to look like an old, dirty, scary fairy!!! I used an old dress and dyed it purple and made it dirty with coffee grounds, I made the crinolin and the wings out of Ikea hagers, I wore whiteout contacts and blacked out my teeth.
