About Emily the Strange

The creation of cartoonist Rob Reger of Cosmic Debris, Emily the Strange is a strange little girl, indeed. She made her illustrated debut in 1991. With her long black hair with bangs that dip just above her eyes, Emily is approximately 12 or 13 years old (definitely a "tween") and has a fondness for black cats, the number 13, and a misanthropic sense of humor. Emily has her own line of clothing that has been worn by a number of celebrity fans and her likeness is printed upon many materials, including notebooks, pencils, and even her own comic books. Emily is rarely seen without her horde of black cats, Mystery, Miles, NeeChee, and Sabbath.
