Elton John is a UK singer songwriter, composer, and pianist. His full name is Sir Elton Hercules John, but he was actually born Reginald Kenneth Dwight in March of 1947. He has had four decades in his career hitting the top charts several times. Currently there are over 200 million records that he has sold. Elton John’s music is rock and roll, which constantly seems to be a favorite. In 1994 he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He lent his talent to creating the music for the Lion King in 1997. He has also done music for Aida, Billy Elliot and Lestat. He has worked with a number of other stars including Sting. Songs by Elton John include “The Scaffold” from his early career, “Tumbleweed Connection’ which is actually an album, “Rocket Man”, and “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me.” Elton John is an eccentric person, with a number of outfits throughout his career which make great costumes.
