	Elmo Mascot Costume   1 up, 0 down  First get a punch balloon. Mix flour, water, white glue in a bowl. Get the consistency of pancake mix. Rip one inch by about six inch newspaper pieces and dip them into the paper mache mix. Place each piece on the balloon until completely covered. Let dry. Do this again until you get about 12 layers. About Elmo

Elmo is a puppet from Sesame Street, also called a muppet. Elmo is a red monster with large white eyes and an orange nose. In the 1990’s Elmo hit popularity with many of the children and teenagers because of the stuffed toy the manufacturers offered. The Tickle Me Elmo Doll was the most sought toy around the US to the point that many stores at Christmas ran out of the doll. Elmo even had his own segment on the show called Elmo’s World. In the show he has Dorothy his goldfish, Mr. Noodle, and Mr. Noodle’s Brother Mr. Noodle. The voice is by Kevin Clash.

Dressing up as Elmo

The Elmo costume starts with a red furry like material often with a plush feel. The costume is a one piece suit with a hood. The hood is shaped in the Elmo face with large white eyes and the orange nose. The costume is complete with hands and feet. Most of the Elmo costumes available are for children and infants, but there are a few larger costume sizes as well. If you have a family a great idea for costumes is Elmo, Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Kermit and other muppets from the show.
