About Elektra

Elektra can refer to two different things. Elektra is a character from Greek Mythology, but most often we consider her to be the Marvel Comic Book character from Daredevil and the 2005 film Elektra. Elektra was played by Jennifer Garner in both films. In the first film we learn her mother is dead, her father was a criminal, and she fell in love with Daredevil. Unfortunately she didn’t realize who Daredevil was until too late. As they are fighting Bullseye comes on the scene and almost kills her. This is when we meet the new Elektra from the 2005 film. She studies to become a great martial artist, with powers from ancient Chinese thoughts.

Dressing up as Elektra

The costume from the film is all about red leather. You can find a knit costume for both adults and children patterned after the film idea. For the top of the costume you would need a corset style bodice, which is tight fitting. For the pants they just need to be red and formfitting. Metal arm bands, and high heel shoes finishes the costume. The shoes should be red to match the rest of the costume. Do not forget Electras weapons, which are Asian in origin. If you want a sexier look you might try a red leather dress or skirt instead of pants.
