About Deep Space Nine

Star Trek Deep Space Nine was the third of Gene Roddenberry's sci-fi series and a direct spin-off of {Star Trek: The Next Generation}. Deep Space Nine aired from 1993 til 1999 and took place aboard the starship U.S.S. Defiant. Among some of the characters who crossed over from Star Trek: TSG were Miles O'Brien and Lt. Worf, a Klingon. The captain on the show was Benjamin Sisko, a father and widower who discovers a Bajoran wormhole where much of the show's action takes place. The Bajorans respect Sisko immensely. Among other members of the crew include Dr Bashir, Worf, and Quark a Ferengi bartender.
