About DC Comics

The "DC" in DC Comics stands for "Detective Comics" -- originally the comic book title that launched the Caped Crusader, Batman. One of the major comic book publishing houses, DC evolved from producing detective comics to putting out titles with some of the biggest superheroes of all time. DC's "Big Three" -- Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman are only a fraction of the heroes in the DC Universe. The JLA (or Justice League) including the Flash, Green Lantern, Martian Manhunter and Hawkman among others are another popular title. A younger generation of superheroes called the Teen Titans includes Batman's protege Robin among their ranks.

Dressing up as DC Comics
