About Darth Vadar

Darth Vadar was first introduced on the big screen in 1977 in Star Wars A New Hope. This was the fourth movie in the series, but the first to be made with Mark Hamilton, Cary Fischer, and Harrison Ford as some of the top actors of the times. All we saw of Darth Vadar at first was the black helmet mask, black clothing, black cape, and light saber. At the time Darth Vadar was known as the heavy breather, but no one could understand why he was in such a costume; unless the books had been read, of course. In the second film at the end we learn the Darth Vadar is Luke Skywalker’s father, and in the last of the Star Wars Trilogy during the 80’s we learn that Princess Leia is Luke’s sister. It was not until the new millennium that we learn the history of Darth Vadar. Darth Vadar was Anakin Skywalker, who went over to the dark side because of ambition and wanting to possess power.

Dressing up as Darth Vadar

You have two possible costumes for Darth Vadar. You can be in the black costume that was fashioned at the end of the third movie out of the six. This was to give Anakin Skywalker life to walk, breath and basically live. It is a black costume with a black mask for breathing, cape and weapon. You can also be Anakin Skywalker as he was seen in the previous movies. This would be tunic and hose with a leather sleeveless vest and saber. Other options for Darth Vadar can be found with Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker, and Star Wars. The Darth Vadar costumes will fit both adults and children.
