About Cougars

A member of the cat family, Cougars are the largest of the small cats that are native to the Americas. Depending on the region, the term "Cougar" encompasses such big cats as Panthers, Mountain Lions, Catamounts, and Pumas. Although they are a part of this family, they share much in common with smaller, domesticated house cats as far as build. Cougars are predatory animals with their food sources including deer and elk. Although they once roamed the Americas freely, due to human intervention, cougars aren't as dominant in population as they had once been. The largest population of Cougars in the Americas is in Wyoming, with a slightly smaller population on the rise in Florida.

Additionally, the word "cougar" also applies to attractive older women who enjoy the company of younger men, like Demi Moore, for example.

Dressing up as a Cougar

Don't hide that cougar pride!! Available in adult sizes in mascot-styles, dress up as the largest member of the "small cat" family with cougar costumes. Cartoonish and realistic versions with either friendly or feral faces are available for high school or collegiate-level mascot hijinx. Each cougar costume comes complete with a tan, faux fur jumpsuit costume with character mitts and attached tail and paw-like feet. Some costumes feature a white "big" of faux fur on the chest, much like a real cougar. And of course, an oversized character mask is included with mesh-screened eyeholes to allow greater vision to the wearer, tufted ears, and an open mouth.
