	Final Fantasy SummonsContest Entry   5 up, 1 down  A group of summons from the Final Fantasy Video Game series. Each costume/cosplay was made by that individual. 	Marluxia - Kingdom HeartsContest Entry   3 up, 0 down  The pink wig was cut down to be styled right. The robe was handmade using sports cloth and a "Matrix Coat" pattern I altered. The scythe was made out of copper for the handle and wood for the blade. comment »
	Mad HatterContest Entry   0 up, 0 down  This costume is based off of the Mad Hatter from American McGee's: Alice. I made the hat, mask, and vest on my own. The spats and pants were bought at a thrift store and costume shop. I've always loved the style of the game, and thought instead of the typical Mad Hatter that everybody does, I'd go with this instead. read more »

About Cosplay

A popular, abreviated way of saying "costume play," cosplay's roots extend to Japan in which dedicated fans of multiple genres dress up as their favorite characters from their favorite anime, manga, television, film, and/or video games. Cosplay fandom conventions are popular in Japan, Europe, and North America with afficionados of multiple fandoms meeting up to show off their sometimes purchased, sometimes ornately homemade costumes!

Some popular cosplay fandoms include such anime/manga titles like Naruto and Sailor Moon, sci-fi franchises like Star Wars and Star Trek and even characters from the Harry Potter series of books.

Dressing up as Cosplay

If you're attending any one of numerous conventions for cosplayers, or even cosplaying at a specific fandom convention or broad-based convention like the San Diego Comic Con, don't be left out of the fun without a cool cosplay costume. Make an impact with a sweeping entrance dressed in the garb of villains as either Darth Vader or Lord Voldemort, or heroes and heroines like Naruto, Sailor Moon, or Star Trek's Captain Kirk or Mr. Spock. Obviously, it's more fun to go with friends, so assemble a costumed cosplayer entourage with a given fandom theme when you're headed to a cosplay convention!
