About Columbia

In the 1975 cult musical/comedy classic, "The Rocky Horror Picture Show," Columbia was the squeaky-voiced, tap dancing groupie to mad transsexual scientist, Dr Frank N Furter. Frank N Furter has competition for her affections in the form of portly, motorcycle-riding delivery boy, Eddie (played by Meat Loaf) and the doctor soon puts their romance... uh, "on ice." Columbia also has a close friendship with fellow female housemate, Magenta. Columbia was played by Nell "Little Nell" Campbell.

Dressing up as Columbia

Like all of the characters in the Rocky Horror Picture Show, Columbia has a distinctive look that can be replicated with officially licensed costumes and accessories. Start with a Columbia wig in bright red-orange in the short, pixie-cropped style that she favors. The Columbia costume comes complete with a gold-sequinned top hat and matching cutaway jacket with tails, a shimmering red bowtie and rainbow-striped lame' bustier top and shorts. Accessorize further with a pair of fishnet tights and a pair of tap shoes and cane! Team up with a biker dude as your very own Eddie before his unfortunate demise for a cute couples' costume!
