About Clown

Clowns have been around for centuries. The first clowns can be traced back to ancient Egypt and to the middle ages. During the middle ages clowns were considered jester, with the ability to mock the king. Today we have several very famous clowns or jokers. Abbot and Costello, Marx Brothers, Laurel and Hardy, the Three Stooges, Charlie Chaplin, and Red Skelton are just some of the famous individuals who have played clowns as well as comedians. Clowns on television programs, in circuses, and even in the rodeo exist. Rodeo clowns are meant to be funny as well as offering a distraction for the bulls in the ring. Circus clowns are perhaps what everyone thinks of with the name clown. Circus clowns will vary depending on the type of circus such as Barnum and Bailey.

Dressing up as a Clown

With clowns you have to have your own persona. In fact many of the most popular clowns had one clown face that they were known for. You can certainly by pieces of a costume to create your clown or you can decide to be a specific famous clown. There are clown costumes patterning Bozo the clown a very famous individual on television, the Big Top Clown, and even Krusty the Clown options exist. A clown outfit will have white face paint with a certain expression and funny clothing. Most of the clowns offer large clothing and shoes.
