About Chinese

Chinese is the word that refers to anything from China. Chinese is their language as well as their people. Chinese people are anyone who lives in the People’s Republic of China. China is located in Asia. Other languages in China are Mandarin and Cantonese which are rotted in Chinese. The Chinese people have darker skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. Their eyes tend to be a little slanted unlike US, and their skulls have less prominent features; though this is not always the case. The Chinese people are in a country struggling to gain more financial power to help their country become more affluent. There are parts of the Chinese culture that are very poor. The major cities in China like Hong Kong and Shanghai have a mixture of wealth and poverty. The Chinese believe in Yin and Yang, of Gods, and much of natural medicine comes from old ancient Chinese traditions.

Dressing up as Chinese

Chinese costumes should not be confused with Japanese or Samurai. While the styles are similar they are also somewhat different. Geisha is more of a Japanese style costume. However, Chinese women did have to bind their feet, where Kimono style dresses, and black wigs. The typical woman for Chinese would have a silk dress with a flowery or Chinese symbol design. The dress for the costume can be tight fitting, with a high collar, and short sleeves. Sandals or low heels would accompany the costume. A geisha wig or long black hair would be needed. For men ninja costumes or the Wise Chinese Man would be appropriate. The Chinese are into martial arts, so kimono shirts with matching pants and a belt would make a nice ninja style costume. There is also the silk long sleeve button down shirt, and knit black pants, with long black hair in a braid to make up a male costume. Mulan supplies other costume ideas.
