About Chewbacca

Hailing from the planety Kashyyk, Chewbacca traveled the galaxy alongside his friend Han Solo as part of a "Wookie Life Debt" as repayment for Han saving his life. The co-pilot of Han's ship, "The Millennium Falcon," Chewbacca spoke in a series of growls, his native tongue, that Han understood. Loyal to a fault, the fierce yet fuzzy "Chewie" (as Solo affectionately referred to him) bore the distinction of appearing in both the original Star Wars trilogy and the second, newer trilogy and was played by the very tall British actor Peter Mayhew in all of his film appearances.
