About Carrie
Based on the 1974 Stephen King novel, "Carrie" told the twisted tale of telekinetic teen, Carrie White, who was a frequent object of ridicule by her high school classmates. Raised by a fanatically religious mother, Carrie was sheltered and shunned. When her powers and ability to move objects with her mind manifested, her mother attempted to make Carrie believe she was a demonic abomination. While her homelife was hell, school was made even worse when a group of popular students attempted to humiliate Carrie at the senior prom with a popular boy agreeing to ask her to the dance so the cruel teens could put their plan in motion. At the film's bloody climax, Carrie White had her revenge and then some! Carrie was famously portrayed by actress Sissy Spaceck in the 1976 film adaptation of King's novel.
Dressing up as Carrie
You, too, can be a "Creepy Carrie" with a Prom Nightmare costume modelled after the iconic scene from the film in which Carrie is doused with pig blood after being awarded the title of Prom Queen. The dress included in the costume is a pale yellow featuring a pre-done red blood splatter pattern dripping down the front. Also included is a blonde wig with red blood stains. You may want to include some of your own accessories to further gore up this outfit, including a Prom Queen sash, a tiara, and an extra tube of fake blood to add more blood spattering to your face, arms, shoulders, and extra blood to the front of the dress.
