About Captain Picard

Captain Jean Luc Picard was Captain of the Starship Enterprise on the "Star Trek: The Next Generation" television series. Recognized as a wise, refined, and compassionate leader, Picard is a favorite among Trekkies. Played by Patrick Stewart, Capt. Picard has appeared in several newer Star Trek movies as well as the series. He is of human descent and hails from France before he attended Starfleet Academy as a boy, eventually rising through the ranks to become Captain of his own ship. Picard is known for his strong sense of justice, morals, and tactical skills. His catchphrase frequently uttered from his command post to his crew members is "Make it so."
