About Captain Kirk

Captain James Tiberius Kirk was the Captain of the starship U.S.S. Enterprise during the 23rd century in both the Star Trek television series and films. His father before him was a Starfleet captain. In the original series, as well as the new film, Kirk was something of a maverick. He frequently lead based on gut instinct, as opposed to Federation rules. Known as something of a ladies man, Captain Kirk's crew were loyal to him and viewed him as much as a friend as a superior officer, including First Officer Spock and Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy. Kirk became one of the most famous and most decorated Captains in Star Fleet history.

Dressing up as Captain Kirk

Set your phasers to stun and dress as one of the most highly praised captains of the 23rd century, or any other! Dress as Captain James T. Kirk of the Enterprise with officially licensed Star Trek costumes based on both the original series' and the new, 2009 J.J. Abrams version of Star Trek's captain's attire. (This also makes a great basis for a Captain Pike costume, as well).

The original series version is a much brighter, more form-fitting shade of golden yellow with v-neck styling trimmed in black. Three gold bands adorn the cuffs and an embroidered emblem/comlink is featured on the chest of this costume.

The new, 2009 version is made from a golden jersey material with a black dickey inset. On the sleeves are three silver bands at the cuffs, denoting your Star Fleet rank and status. On the chest is the Star Fleet emblem/"comlink" for communicating to your crew.

Wear with a pair of black pants and any number of Star Trek accessories, such as a tricorder or other communication devices.
