About Candy Land

Candy Land is a popular children's board game manufactured by Milton Bradley in the 1940s. It was designed by Eleanor Abbott and became one of best selling games and toys of all time. Each player selects a card which moves their Gingerbread shaped gamepieces to the next square of that corresponding color, or a specific landmark on the board, such as the Peppermint Forrest or Grandma Nutt's Peanut Brittle Shack. However, if that landmark is behind the person's gamepiece, they must go back to it and continue from that point on. A number of colorful characters each with a candy theme inhabits Candy Land -- and the board, making the game a more fun and interesting experience.

Dressing up as Candy Land

Look sweet as your own interpretation of Candy Land's inhabitants with confectionary-themed costumes of all flavors. Men can dress up as a Wonka-inspired Candy Man with purple coat and matching top hat. Ladies and gents may want to look dandy as a Candy Cane with striped red and white costumes that would do Mr. Mint proud! Or, dress up as the Gingerbread Man playing pieces that are a familiar sight on a Candy Land board. A Candy Girl costume is another treat for the eyes in sizes to fit adult and young ladies with a short skirt swirled with a multitude of colors and an irridescent white top dotted with pink, yellow, and blue replicas of Candy Dots on paper! Pair it with a pink wig or wig in a pastel color with a tiara and you'll be just like Queen Frostine!
