About Bunnies

"Bunny" is another term for a "rabbit." No one quite knows how that word was derrived from "rabbit," but the term "bunny" stuck. Contrary to popular belief, these adorable fluffy creatures with fluffy tails and twitchy noses aren't rodents, but rather belong to a species known as "lagomorphs." Bunnies are characterized by their ability to hop, using their strong back legs to propel the forward and their large, pointed ears that either stand straight up or flop down like a dog's ears. "Bunny" has also been co-opted by the world's most famous Playboy, Hugh Hefner, referring to his chain of Playboy clubs waitresses as Playboy Bunnies. The Playboy Bunny uniform with its unique satin bodysuit with bunny ears, collar, bowtie, and cuffs was the very first "work uniform" to be registered with the U.S. patent office.
