About Buffy

Buffy or Buffy the Vampire Slayer was first written as a screen play for a 1992 movies by Joss Whedon. It was also adapted to a book by Richie Tankersley Cusick. A few years after the movie became such a hit a television show was started staring Sarah Michele Geller as Buffy. It was one of the roles that helped launch her career in the 90’s. The story behind Buffy is that she is predestined to be a vampire slayer, although she is unaware of the destiny. She has dreams where she is slaying the vampires during different eras. However, it is not until Donald Sutherlands character comes on screen that she is forced to confront the meaning of those dreams and her destiny to kill Lothos in the movie. As a teen sensation Buffy has definitely been a hit.

Dressing up as Buffy

In the movie Buffy is a valley girl, so any high priced outfit that will be color coordinated can work. Of course there are specific costumes in the movie and shows you can find online at costume stores like this one and at our partners. The costumes will be in a range of sizes. There is something for everyone’s budget in Buffy costumes. Vampire, Renaissance, Wonder Woman, Superman and any other hero will be other ideas for costumes relating to the Buffy theme. The most common outfit is a white prom dress with leather jacket and accompanying stake.
