About Buddy

Buddy is a character from the animated film Open Season. In the film buddy is a porcupine. He is first seen when Boog and Elliot are talking in the woods. Elliot mentions the word Buddy, in context to Boog, meaning they can be great friends. The porcupine walks along, hearing the word and wishes to be their buddy. Throughout the film the porcupine continues to say “Buddy,” while following the bear and deer. Buddy can also refer to a friend in most movies, such as the Buddy Elf Costume or Buddy Bulldog.

Dressing up as Buddy

Since there are a range of context in which Buddy falls there are a number of costume choices. If you want to be from Open Season you would need a porcupine costume. This would be a blue suit with fake quills on the back. Typically the costume also has a hood in the shape of a porcupine. Normally you have to add your own feet and hand coverings.
