About Brownie

A brownie can refer to two things. It can be a type of chocolate dessert or a person. In this case we are referring to a person called a brownie. This person is the youngest member of the Girl Scouts. Girl Scouts are much like Boy Scouts in that they learn survival skills. Girl Scouts do tend to do more things with arts and crafts, but camping, cooking, and much more are part of the learning experience. Brownies will be between the ages of 7 and 10 in order to belong to the organization. Brownies are the like Cub Scouts. Brownies are able to earn badges, have fun, and make new friends. Brownie troops are lead by a Girl Scout leader helping to teach the girls many types of things to earn those badges. The name brownie comes partly from the outfit they wear. The outfit is all brown with a tan shirt.

Dressing up as Brownie

Dressing as a brownie will differ depending on your choices. You have brownie babe outfits which are a bit on the sexy side for adults. Then there are the camper girl adult costumes. The actual costume is a pair of brown pants or a brown skirt. Then a tan blouse that is covered with a brown vest. The brown vest will have a brown sash for the badges. To complete the costume a girl skirt hat is needed. This is also brown in color. Don’t forget your cub costume if you want a couples costume.
