About Bowling

Bowling is a sport where the individuals throw a bowling ball down a lane to hit pins. There are ten pins at the end of the lane. When all of them are knocked over in one shot it is a strike. If a few pins are knocked down and then the rest are knocked down on the next shot that is a spare. The points are added up based on the number of pins which have been knocked over on two turns. There are special ways to add up the points when spares or strikes are made. Bowling is actually an ancient sport having its history date back to Egyptian times. Bowling was also seen in Finland and Yemen during 300 AD. The rules of bowling as we know them today were established in 1895.

Dressing up as Bowling

The sport of bowling has uniforms, which yield us some great costumes. The pants of the costume are going to be loose fitting to make moving easier. The typical bowling shirt is knit with short sleeves. It is typically designed with a solid color with black stripes on the front, and the black or solid color on the back. In this costume you would need a nun’s outfit complete with bowling shoes and the bowling ball.
