About Belle

The Beauty to the Beast, Belle was a kind, bookish young girl who lived with her zany inventor father in a village in France. The heroine of Disney's animated musical, Beauty and the Beast, based off of Charles Perrault's centuries old fairy tale, Belle is an important part of a "tale as old as time, a song as old as rhyme."

To repay her father's debt to the Beast (a handsome prince cursed to live as a animalistic creature until kissed by his true love), Belle comes to live in the enchanted palace of the princely Beast. With matters complicated by narrow-minded villagers and the egotistical Gaston who wants Belle's hand in marriage, eventually, Belle falls in true love with the Beast, breaking the spell and living happily ever after.

Dressing up as Belle

For girls -- and grown women -- of all ages who still believe in fairy tales, dress in beautiful, officially licensed Belle costumes, inspired by Beauty and the Beast.
