About Bellatrix Lestrange
The most fanatically devoted and one of the female Death Eaters, Bellatrix Black-Lestrange is the right-hand woman of the Dark Lord Voldemort in the Harry Potter series of novels by J.K. Rowling. A member of the infamous Black family of wizards (one of the few kind members fighting on the side of good from that particular lineage is Sirius Black and Andromeda Black-Tonks), Bellatrix married dark wizard and fellow-Death Eater, Rodolphus Lestrange. Bellatrix is in complete lockstep with Voldemort's belief that all wizards must be of pure, non-muggle blood. All "unpure" wizards must be exterminated. Bellatrix is known for her cruelty and love of applying the unforgivable Cruciatus curse of torture and had even killed her own cousin, Sirius, among other wizards on the side of good.
Dressing up as Bellatrix Lestrange
Look the part of Lady Death Eater Supreme with a Bellatrix Lestrange costume. Available in both adult and children's sizes, the costume includes a long, black panne crushed velvet dress with a deep scoopneck and attached black hood. Feminine touches include a faux leather waist cincher and pleather detailing on the puffed, leg-of-mutton sleeves. The costume also comes with a Death Eater mask made of hard, dark silver grey plastic with embellished scrollwork details and a fearsome stitched mouth.
The mask is optional when dressing the part of Bellatrix. You may want to wear a long black wig in a wildly curly and unruly style. Accessorize with a pair of black granny boots with a seductive heel and a Death Eater wand for torturing unsuspecting Muggles!
