About Battlestar Galactica

The original Battlestar Galactica debuted in 1978. Several attempts to revive the series were made before it was successfully relaunched and reimagined in 2004. The new Battlestar Galactica aired from 2004 to 2009 on the Sci-Fi network. The show revolves around humanity that found itself at war from a cybernetic race of beings known as Cylons. Mankind lived on planets known as the Twelve Colonies and were attempting to escape from the Cylons (unaffectionately referred to as "Toasters" by most humans, to a little planet called "Earth" with the help of Commander Adama. Although many Cylons had a robotic look, other human-looking ones were implanted among humanity and referred to as "Skin Jobs."
