About Barbie Island Princess

Barbie has taken on many different looks, designer duds, and professional careers. This time, in her latest movie, Barbie plays the Island Princess, Ro. Shipwrecked on an island as a baby, Ro (short for "Rosella") learns to live among and talk to animal friends, such as Tika the Elephant, Azul the Peacock, and Sagi the Red Panda.

In the film, Ro meets a handsome prince, Antonio, and she and her animal friends accompany him to his home. The Prince's parents have arranged a marriage for him to another, Princess Luciannia. While Lucianna is sweet, her mother is evil and scheming. It's up to Ro and her animal friends to foil the plot and find true love!

Dressing up as Barbie Island Princess

Little girls who love the movie will love to play dress-up as Barbie Island Princess and several other characters from the film! The Barbie Island Princess costume is beautiful and colorful in shades of sky blue and pastel pinks and purples! Attached to the pale blue dress with sparkling "embroidery" on the bodice, skirt, and ends of its sheer, bell sleeves, is a pale purple peplum of shimmering chiffon and a large fan of peacock "feathers" attached to the back of the dress for a lovely, dramatic touch. Also included is a matching tiara headpiece.

Also available is a Princess Lucianna costume in a bright, pretty shade of plum purple trimmed with gold and lavender. Perfect for playing dress-up with a friend!
