A sheikh or Arab Sheik is a term meaning elder or wiseman. Today a sheik can also be referred to as a person of wealth. However, to be a sheikh one must complete undergraduate work. The word sheikh comes from the trilateral root of Arabic. It literally means old age. The meaning of the word changed and most of the time it now refers to Bedouin tribal leaders.

Dressing up as Arab Sheik

Arab Sheik’s have a specific costume, which will help you make yours authentic. You will need a robe of either one color or two. Typically you have an undergarment robe, and then a colored robe on top. Then the traditional headdress, which looks like a long scar kept in place by a ring is needed.
