About Animal House

The comedy that defined a generation, National Lampoon's "Animal House" was a 1978 film directed by John Landis which starred comic icon, John Belushi as slovenly college frat boy, John "Bluto" Blutarski. Co-written by Harold Ramis (who wrote and starred in Ghostbusters and Stripes), the film focused on outcast fraternity, Delta Tau Chi, a bunch of misfits collected at Faber College. Notorious for out of control keggers, pranks, and a poor academic average, the Delta Tau Chis are put on "Double Secret Probation" by uptight Dean Wormer. The fraternity and its motley crew rebel in a number of ways, most famously with a toga party and an elaborate sabotage of the school's homecoming parade.
