About Angels

Winged, ethereal beings known as "angels" are found in many cultures and religions. They are mentioned in Jewish, Christian, and Islamic texts and the word itself is derived from from the Greek for "messenger" ("angelos") as well as other Romance languages. In religious texts, a hierarchy among the angels is alluded to as to which one of these branches of angels is closest to the major deity of each. Some have human appearances, others have the bodies of men and heads of animals, and others are just objects like wheels or eyes with wings. The concept of a "guardian angel" is popular, with an angel assigned to each human from birth to protect them throughout their life. Other notable angels include the 7 Archangels (who include Gabriel, Michael, and Raphael) and Azriel the Angel of Death.

Everyone has a good angel or a bad angel that sits on their shoulder. Dress up as the one you prefer to listen to! Available in sizes to fit children and adults, there's an angel costume to suit everyone. Children playing the role of an angel in a Christmas play will want to opt for the traditional white gown with flowing sleeves and detachable wings and halo.
