About Anakin Skywalker

The heroic Jedi knight Anakin Skywalker rose from humble beginnings as a slave on Tattooine with his mother to becoming a great Jedi warrior. When Jedi Qui Gon Jin discovered the young boy on the planet, he noticed how strong in the Force the child was and took him to Yoda for training. When Qui Gon fell in battle to Darth Maul, Obi Wan Kenobi took over training him, the two becming friends. Anakin soon fell in love with Padme Amidala, a former queen of Naboo, against the strict orders of the Jedi way of life. Due to this, he was slowly turned to the Dark Side of the Force by Emperor Palpatine. Following a battle with his former mentor, Obi Wan, he was severely burnt with multiple limbs severed. The Emperor saved him, restoring him with the Dark Side of the Force and putting the once-honorable Jedi in the infamous black armor of his new Sith name, Darth Vader. Little did Vader know that although Padme died, his twin children by her, Luke Skywalker and Leia survived.
