About Amiyumi

AmiYumi is a Japanses rock duo that goes by Puffy AmiYumi. Ami Onuki and Yumi Yoshimura are the two stars. They reached a peak in 1998 and 1999, though they began in 1996. They are still creating songs and popular in Japan with the Sony Music label. Their first release was called Asia no Junshin which sold a million records, and now more than 14 million. The popularity of this band in the United States led to an animated series on TV in 2004. The show Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi was shown on the Cartoon Network. The shows can still be seen today as reruns are offered. The show allowed the two girls to evolve their music talents.

Dressing up as AmiYumi

Ami costumes require a tight yellow sleeveless dress with a pink and yellow skirt attached. To offer more form for the dress a wide belt is needed. Furthermore one should have the Ami boot tops which are white with huge black platforms. For the hair a cosplay wig in pink with two pompoms is needed. Yumi is a bit more goth in her style with blue hair, a purple and black tee shirt with a skull on the front, and purple leggings with a black skirt over it. Again a wide belt is needed, with black platform boots. This will make the two rockstar outfits and the duo complete.
