About Alladin

Alladin or Aladdin as a correct spelling is a character from a Disney animated classic released in 1992. The film starred Robin Williams as the Genie of the Lamp. The animation was based on a “Street Rat” named Aladdin who wanted to experience more from life than just his existence trying to live off what he could steal. This was especially important when Aladdin saved a young woman who stole from a vendor. The young woman was hiding, but turned out to be the Princess Jasmine of the Arabian City Agrabah. The two have feelings for each other, but the rules will not allow these feelings to be moved on. Jasmine must return to her palace in order to find a husband, which she does not want. She would rather be free. Aladdin decides to use the lamp he found to get Jasmine to marry him. Unfortunately the Sultan’s assistant has other plans and tries to kill Aladdin and marry Jasmine.

Dressing up as Alladin

Aladdin or Aladin can be created by two different outfits. The first costume is the prince costume. This is an all white costume with gold belt, purple under- side for the cape, and head turban. The costume is classic Arabian from the Renaissance period. The other costume is a purple vest and baggy Arabian style pants. The costumes are typically made from a faux satin like material. Other costumes from Aladdin are the Genie, Royal Sultan, and Jafar. Jasmine or other Princess costumes make great accompaniments.
