About 50s
The 1950s were known for their wholesomeness. The first full decade as a return to normalcy after WWII, the United States experienced a population explosion with families reunited after the war. The result of this "baby boom" had many of these children born after WWII growing up in the 1950s or who had become teenagers. Rock n' Roll music featuring the likes of Elvis Presley and Buddy Holly was very popular as were poodle skirts, malt shoppes, and motorcycle riding boys dubbed Greasers for the amount of product used in their hair as for their mechanical natures working on their bikes or cars.
Dressing up 50s
Get the look of a carefree teen from simpler, more innocent days gone by! Ladies can gear up in {50s} style with a flirty {50s wig} with a flip and removable headband. Perfect for dressing up as Gidget or Annette Funicello from any of the beach movies made popular during the decade! Or, dress up with a poodle skirt and saddle shoes with your best fuzzy sweater to sip shakes at the malt shoppe!
Guys can go for leather jacket and jeans look with a t-shirt with rolled up sleeves and motorcycle boots. Or if you want something a little more "square", dress up with a pair of {50s wingtips} and Buddy Holly glasses to ask that special lady to get up and do The Twist with ya!
