A navy sailor is an individual who is part of the United States Navy. The US Navy is a sea branch for the military, meaning they are on ships, submarines, and have aquatic training. A navy sailor is going to man either a ship or submarine. There are carriers and other styles of ships in which a navy sailor may be on. The aircraft carriers are perhaps the most well known as they hold the aircrafts for navy pilots. The motto of the navy is "Non Sibi Sed Patriae" or "Not Self but Country."
