I have made many costumes… enough so that I can tell what problems may arise with new concepts. So here’s one I’m working on, but haven’t figured out how to get past a logistic(?) problem.
I want to make a Red Hood mask (from Batman: The Killing Joke).
The mask will be made from a glass/plastic/plexiglass/(or something similarly transparent) long dome to be worn over the head. The idea is to have it done over with a ruby red translucent finish that I can see through. Here’s the problem: As anyone who’s tried to do a fully enclosed mask with lenses will know, condensation will be a problem. You try to breathe, but your breath fogs up the inside of the mask/lenses.
Has anyone found a way to overcome this dilemma?
