Loaf of White Bread
At the first Greenwich Village Parade I went to I saw this & have never forgotten it….
about a dozen men each had foam slabs across their torso, front and back; from their necks to their thighs. The Top edge (under the chin) was shaped like the top af a slice of bread. The edges were painted deep tan-toast to look like crust. The costume was clever by itself, but when the parade started and all the guys got in line, one behid the other, they formed a LOAF!! It was great fun to see the loaf moving (living) as they walked and danced down the street!
