Ever heard of Steampunk?
Steampunk is a sub-genre of science fiction, fantasy, alternate history, and speculative fiction that came into prominence during the 1980s and early 1990s. Steampunk involves a setting where steam power is still widely used—usually the Victorian era Britain—that incorporates elements of either science fiction or fantasy.

Some of the most amazing steampunk masks you will ever see!
Amazing! I had to stop browsing the Bob Basset website as i realized i spent 30mn on it! Each mask is so unique, such an amazing quality and attention to detail, you need to see by yourself.
Bob Basset is workshop of unique, high-quality art pieces made by Petrov and his team from Ukraine.
You can buy some of these creations on eBay for around $650 per mask like this leather horse mask:

if you are a fan of steampunk, be careful, it will be hard to resist the temptation!
This was user TheFontBandit's first attempt at making an original steampunk variation of Batman's Harley Quinn.
The costume requires a bit more of steampunk influence, but it's a great start!

Really cool steampunk costume posted on Youtube by IdiomaticSwag, made in a few days from things he found around the house! You can't beat using junk for a good steampunk costume.
This was the super quick outcome of the main part of my Halloween costume for a costume party this year, it was put together in only a few days only using items I had around the house, including an old respirator, welding goggles, clear acrylic sheeting, leds, solder, various metal pieces, switches and wiring, and lots.. and lots.. of hot glue..the battery holders however were bought from radio shack.
This will sell in no time, even at $2,500.
Ian Finch-Field is an artists from Victoria Canada, who made a unique Steampunk piece of art, a gauntlet, for Justin Bieber himself featured in a video.
Finch-Field said he received a call from Bieber's stylist in October, asking for the one-of-a-kind armpiece.
Quite a creation!
Looking like an early 1800s artifact found at low tide [...]
Wow! This is awesome. Now I'd love to see someone pulling off the entire Darth Vader Steampunk costume, that would be something!

I was walking up the stairs from the JR Head Office building and basically found myself being charged by this exotic and amazing beast half man, half bird, leather, brass, steam and metal. The best part about this absolutely surreal vision was all the people who just didn’t notice him, or pretended not to notice him! It was hilarious to watch him strike a pose in a shadow, wait a few moments and then stalk off almost enveloping a pram or young couple in his wings. What a power trip! I also got to see him chase kids around, annoy business men and play tag with a bunch of school girls. The artist call his act “nani-sole”, but I know nothing more than this and that the suit is home made. Nani-sole is of course a play on words, nanisore, or “What’s that?!”.
If you are looking to make a Steampunk costume this Halloween, but you are like Sophie Brown - sewing limited capabilities :) - then join Sophie in her great endeavor to make a her first Steampunk cotume:
In September I attended a steampunk convivial in my home town, naturally this required creating a steampunk costume. For someone whose sewing experience at the point of buying my ticket consisted of reattaching a few buttons to shirts, that was a pretty daunting prospect. Thanks to YouTube, Threadbanger and a lot of time on Google, I eventually managed to create a costume that looked pretty good, despite my lack of skills with fabric and thread.
We'll post updates as we catch them - you can also follow her on Twitter.
Etsy should not surprise us anymore, but it does! We recently link to cute masks for kids available ion Etsy, but it left the grown-ups hungry for something for themselves.
Well, today we found an amazing collection of leather and steampunk masks you can go , masks Lady Gaga could wear!

My skirt corset thing was entire too long for my purposes. I gathered the fabric in multiple places, paired it with a black shirt of my friend's that I shrank, vintage red petticoat, vintage broken jewelry that i fixed, found teacup pin, and purchased from "Steampunk Funk" wings.
